PlusOne - Musings of a marketer

I’ve not done too much thinking about the relevance of this, mainly because I have a fairly negative view of MySpace and won’t even entertain the notion of a silly name like FaceBook - or it could be I’m a boring old fart…

But here are some stats that you may wish to ponder over.

What this shows is that longevity does not always mean success - just look at LinkedIn that has been around for years….

This graph does not measure up to my experiments on MySpace. I spent some time building a profile, adding friends who I could see were not just spam profiles or wanting to sell get rich quick schemes and have seen no traffic from MySpace at all.

So look at and cogitate over these numbers and if you come up with some meaningful conclusions, please let me know.
