PlusOne - Musings of a marketer

Following on from today’s earlier post on what to include in a web makeover, I came across MyStickies, Sticky Notes for the Web.

Now I think these are a good idea…but this site suffers from the main bugbears of these internet tools sites - not enough information to tell people what it is for and what the real benefit is.

I think the problem is that sites like these are created by coding nuts, not marketers. There seems to be a large oversight of the fact that most people will not sign up to a service just to try to find out what is does.

So come on guys - spill the factual beans - reveal the soul behind the product - give us some demos, tell us if it puts cookies on pages or spyware onto our computers.

Like I said, it could be a great tool, but…..
