While it may be useful to download the Science Show from ABC radio if you missed it on the weekend (just listen again on Thursday night), I have never been a fan of home grown podcasting services that lurk around most corners.
It’s a little like really poor home DTP or websites made by people with little or no idea. Bloody awful ramblings mostly.
Of course the other drawback for Australians is our generally poor internet service. Even on 512 download speeds, a podcast can take a long while, even if automatically downloaded overnight.
Plus there is the need to make sure your broadband plan allows plenty of MB each month – because download more than a few and it could become a costly exercise…
