In breaking news… the sentence handed down to Saddam Hussein has been modified by the Iraqi court after protests from Saddam and his defence council.

In a move designed to have the last laugh, Saddam has argued that the trial and the original sentence “was a joke“.

In a dramatic turnaround, the trial judge has ordered that Saddam’s sentence now be changed so that he will now be “tickled to death“.

“Now we shall see who has the last laugh”, said an indignant judge.
