The world is a small place when doing busines on the internet

When I tell people about my caricature business, they are amazed. Now I’m no artist and lots of people know this, which is why they are amazed I guess! The thing that gets them is the GLOBAL nature of the business.
You see my artists are scattered all around the world. Each has their own distinct style which means you as a customer can get what you want…regardless of where you are.
I don’t know why people are amazed - I have long since put the DISTANCE aspect of the web behind me and now work on time zones and what I call ‘awake times’.
It does not matter if I am communicating with someone in France or Fiji - its only a matter of when they are available.
The same with clients. I have had orders from all the usual haunts - USA, Britain, Australia, but also some less common ones like Singapore (though percentage-wise they are great buyers!) and even the United Arab Emirates.
Last week I even received an order from central Baghdad in Iraq. While the delivery was going to be an issue (they specifically wanted the original art - even though we never do it normally) they recognised the issues of delivery and opted to get the digital version for the presentation locally and have the original sent to the recepient’s home address.
So the internet means global in every sense of the word - for instance - tell me via comments where you are while reading this…
