I just wanted to add - I&#039;ve read it somewhere - and it&#039;s totally true. If you run own affiliate program, YOU are owner of affiliate partnerhip. If you run it through affiliate network, THEY have your hard-earned partnerships. 

There are also another things to consider - when you have own affiliate software, you control the tracking. The cookie stuffing problem is just one example of disadvantages that affiliate networks may have.(Cookie stuffing=generating more affiliate sales within an affiliate network - by setting cookies to visitor&#039;s computer, even for those that were not reffered by affiliates).

Anyway, the biggest concern might be the price. In networks you usually pay monthly - which is always more that one-time fee for own software.
