In any crime or terrorist event, eyewitness accounts are vital. However, often the memory is not as good as perfect, and even identikit images or artists impressions are hard-pressed to portray the ‘real’ image of a suspect.
With camera phones it is easy to just capture an image of a suspicious person, or a scene just after an event. These images could contain the vital clue. Images relating to non-events can just as easily be deleted.
